​The Madame Phoebia Cheek Sullivan Memorial Park, Inc. exists to honor the life and legacy of Madame Phoebia Cheek Sullivan—a prophetic healer, diviner, and spiritual guide whose gifts transformed lives across generations.
Her descendants founded this nonprofit to preserve her sacred land, restore historic spaces, and create a public sanctuary where healing, history, and heritage meet.
The park reflects not just one woman’s legacy—but the generational gifts passed down through her children, and now carried forward by her family and the visionary board stewarding this mission today.​​

Our Vision
We envision the Sullivan Estate as a vibrant, living space where the spirit of Madame Sullivan and her family legacy continues to bless all who visit. Through intentional restoration and sacred design, we are building:

A nature park with trails, gardens, and gathering areas for wellness, reflection, and ceremony

A restored Sullivan Baptist Temple façade, preserving a powerful piece of local spiritual history

A memorial and cultural space that tells the story of Madame Sullivan, her gifted children, and their role in the broader history of Saluda and Black healing traditions

Ongoing community events, education programs, and wellness offerings led by her descendants and inspired by her gifts

Living Legacy & Collective Restoration Madame Sullivan’s descendants—many of whom are gifted healers, diviners, and visionaries—carry her spiritual torch today. The board leading this effort is not only preserving her legacy, but also living it out loud through their own work in healing, education, and cultural leadership.
